Israel should rightly own most of the Middle East after destroying the Arabs in several defensive wars, but they not only were forced into Soviet brokered cease fires by the US, they also returned captured oil fields to Egypt for a peace treaty. If fanatical interest groups with self-serving agendas are helping the US government, at its highest levels, make stupid decisions, then I would like to see them called out.
Maybe there is nothing to this "neocon" movement, and maybe this post simply feeds into another paranoid conspiracy. On the other hand, if there is ANY truth behind some of this, then it our duty to shed light on it.
No one wants their government hijacked by special interests - national OR international.
The Bush Administration is, and continues to be, a total disaster. If some hidden agenda has assisted this debacle, then let's investigate. If there is nothing to see here, then great, we'll move on, but as there has been zero transparancy with regards to this administrations dealing, then it is a tough call.
I am not a racist, but if decisions are made in Washington that are not in the best interest of the US - whether it be the blind support of Israel no matter what, or the blind support of the Saudis, or the Chinese, or whoever - at the total expense of our national interests, than maybe we should pull our heads out of the sand and finally ask some tough questions.
If attacking Iran, which seems in-line with Israel's (and the Neocon's) wishes were to take place, the troubles we face today will certainly double or triple, or worse.
On a similar note, to continue to drag our feet on necessary advancements like the electric car, to appease the Saudis, is also absurd.
Call me a racist if that makes you happy, but isn't that just another way to keep your head buried in the sand? Maybe I'm a Jew, or Black, or Arab, or whatever - you don't know, but I started this post because whatever I am, I am an American, and I hate what has happened to this country, and hope it does not continue any further.Comment

I can read just fine. I was just stating that, as you seem to believe the term "neocon" to be anti-semetic, Bill Maher (and lots of other people who use reference this term) are Jews. I guess by your logic they must be anti-semetic Jews. A conflicting viewpoint.
