The slider on porndeals.com is much too big.
It makes my eye hurt seeing the whole screen just moving around

What size monitor are you viewing it on and what resolution? I can't see the second link as I'm getting an error

but would love to see the joins in a "greenish"

Best advice is to split test both designs and make tweeks to them until you get it dialed in. The numbers never lie.

I think since all the pricing structure is the same in the slider that should not scroll and maybe just scroll the sites. Or possible hover the pricing structure for each site over the pics with a transparent shape behind them. Still can't see the second link as it's timing out. By the looks of the poll so far it seems to be a better design but as I said earlier. Throw some traffic at both of them and read the numbers.

Being European you might tend to go for the slickest, newest, most cutting-edge design by nature but I can tell you simple works better for most countries around the world.

Most surfers spend less than 5 seconds visiting a site (especialy a new site they haven't seen before) so simple and fast are key.
