I'm not convinced that that is real, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the tanks didn't support the ground troops in that way and those planes swept down suspiciously low near the end. It looks more like a propaganda film to me.

I think it's fake too, The tanks have a nice clear path to drive down without running over any fallen solders.

I love WWI. I find it so much more interesting that WWII. Sometimes, though I feel it's the forgotten war. There are very few movies about it and if I remember from history class in school, it was but a blip that was talked about between the Civil War and WWII

Totally fake footage.

The cameraman would have been killed or at least the camera would have been shaking (they didn't have big rigs to stabilize those giant cameras).

I was under the impression that airplanes were more for reconnaissance and such during World War I than any actual combat. Can anyone clarify? theking, I know you were in the trenches, fill us in.

Also, the tank treads are from 1945 and men don't run like that.
