It is time I packed up and got out of this country I loved at one time. The people are great, but our government was taken over by greedy, lying bastards only out to make money for themselves and their friends, instead of helping the people. Not only that, but these same people drove the economy to shit and started an unprovoked war.
I don't want to be associated with that. I can honestly say, I am embarrassed for my country. I can understand when people in other countries have a bad image of Americans.

FACT: The US is the only major country in the world where you can be diagnosed with a terminal illness and be sent home to die because you can't afford treatment.
Nobody is saying that the government should stick their nose in all aspects of the health care system, but something needs to be done immediately to make it accessible to every single American.
You go tell the guy who died from a heart attack because he couldn't afford preventative surgery that we have the greatest health care system in the world. What good is it if you are dead?Comment

BillO a couple nights ago even slammed Obama for about half the show for taking his kids to that church and exposing them to Wright's message. Funny how he didn't say a peep about all the old people who watch 700 Club with their grandkids in the room. I can't believe that America is honestly appalled by his statements. While I can't say either way on the CIA / HIV comment, though considering the government and the CDC let 1000s of black men die back in the day over Syphilis JUST to see what would happen to them, I can't rule it out to be the truth.
It's a smear campaign to derail Obama. It's that simple. Rev Wright said nothing that I personally have not heard a 100 times from WHITE PEOPLE back in the states. He is not alone in his thoughts. And for Christ sake, he is a preacher, not a politician, so who cares what he says about politics anyway?Comment

It IS our international policies and actions that cause harm to any Americans, be it in the usa or abroad. Attacks on embassies, attacks on American soil, it's all payback for the atrocities we have done around the world.
