Retired CIA officers award Snowden with the Sam Adams award

    http://benswann.com/ed-snowden-emerg...rip-to-russia/

Gonna be hard to prosecute a guy that even CIA officers said did the right thing..

The Sam Adams Associates Integrity and Intelligence Award is given each year by a group of retired CIA officers. It is given to an individual who takes a stand against abuse of information gathering. Many of the award?s past recipients have been whistleblowers ? in fact, the award itself is named after Vietnam whistleblower Samuel A. Adams. Wikileak?s Julian Assange received the award in 2010.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

I guess you have never read the constitution or the federalist papers then....

          ______________

"Since 9/11, there has been, at first secretly but increasingly openly, a revocation of the bill of rights for which this country fought over 200 years ago. In particular, the fourth and fifth amendments of the US constitution, which safeguard citizens from unwarranted intrusion by the government into their private lives, have been virtually suspended.

The government claims it has a court warrant under Fisa ? but that unconstitutionally sweeping warrant is from a secret court, shielded from effective oversight, almost totally deferential to executive requests. As Russell Tice, a former National Security Agency analyst, put it: ?It is a kangaroo court with a rubber stamp.?
          ____________

With the powers that they have given themselves to spy on their own citizens, the government now has the ability to blackmail political opponents, find and stop anyone that may expose government abuses, and muzzle investigative journalists. The fact that there are so many people like you that think that this is no big deal, is a sad commentary on how sheeplike people have become.

While I'll agree with the statement about the "kangaroo court with a rubber stamp", everything is perfectly legal.

And Snowden hasn't exposed one violation of US law other than "mistakes". That was a lot of excitement about nothing. He traded his life in the US for life in Russia, where he has a lot less rights. I hope he's happy.

Well deserved and the man is a true patriot. Too bad there are so few will the balls to stand up for what the founding father wanted America to be and what it once was.

Snowden is one of those cases of being more right than wrong. There is morality or human rights, and there is the law -- the two are in conflict at times ...
