Well, at least she doesn't need a ride and you wasted all that time going to pick her up or, you aren't outside waiting for her because she just couldn't seem to be ready when you arrived
Some models just floor me. They make good money and can't find a way to get their fucking asses out of bed to be on time and most of the time they can't even call to say they are running late

Too bad you don't have another one already booked so that when this one shows up, you could send her ass home for wasting your time. She may get the hint that it's not ok to fuck you around.

I got used to this after a couple of months being in this biz. My advice is to always schedule a back up for any important shoot.

a good guideline to follow is probably that if you want them there by 1pm, tell them noon.

Ive had good luck with models lately no late or flakey ones, some of the models have been there before I even got there

Just wanted to throw this out there and see if this is a solution to maybe get models on time.

What if when you have your first meeting (phone or in person) with the model you setup guidelines to the shoot... One of the parts of the contract is ok you get X amount of dollars for this shoot (say $1000 for a round number) and the shoot is at 1pm. For every 30mins you are late we deduct $50 or $100. Since you are wasting your time and money waiting for her, when you could be doing something else that is making you money.

What happens when the model flakes completely? Then she owes you money?

I was going to suggest structuring it as a bonus rather than a penalty but some of them probably won't care about not making an extra 50 or 100 bucks if they're on time...
