Pretty good song.

I am a big fan of theirs and like you lost interested around the Promised Land album.

Geoff Tate leaving the band was a pretty crazy situation. In a nutshell he wanted to control all of their merchandising and licensing in house so they got a bigger percent of the profits. The rest of the band wanted to hire a company to handle that stuff. At the time Geoff's wife was managing the band and she was trying to push them to do it Geoff's way.

Eventually the relationship between Geoff and the band went bad and before a show in Brazil Tate and a few members of the band got into a physical altercation then during the show Tate spit on one of the band members and they started fighting again. The band then fired Tate. He sued them saying that he owns the Queensryche name. A judge told them that the band can use the name with their new singer and Tate can also use the name with his own band until it gets hashed out in court next year.

So at the moment there are actually two Queensryches out there.
