Short men are the most likely to be jealous, scientists believe.

Spanish and Dutch researchers quizzed 549 men and women to rate how jealous they felt and to identify the qualities that made them feel the most insecure.

Men felt most nervous about attractive, rich and strong rivals, but the taller ones were the most relaxed, the New Scientist magazine reported.

They pointed to previous research which showed taller men were likely to be more successful in their careers, earn more and have more attractive girlfriends.

You're right.

They have to work twice as hard to be considered half as good. I have a short friebd who suffered through graduate school. The only awards he ever received were the ones that were judged on the merit of the work itself without the judges seeing the researcher (him).

I am 5'10" and I feel sorry for tall people (females included).

- they suck at telemark skiing---leverage plays too much of a roll.
- the suck at climbing
- they look like they are always wearing floods---pants and sleeves tend to be too short
- they look like sardines in a can in their cars
- they are SO cumbersome & clumsy
- they have too high of a center of gravity

For tall people, I actually feel the same kinda pity as I do for those that are obese. But, at least they (obese) can loose weight.
