No More Lapdancing In Las Vegas

Well, looks like the city that has 24 hour alcohol and gambling will no longer have lapdancing after September 1.....

the new lapdance ban ordinance:
no more g-string tipping (can only tip hand to hand)
all dancers must now be at least 21
no touching of breasts or vaignal areas

We get to thank that mega-casino whore Yvonne Atkinson Gates....starting tomorrow, I will be a bit moer scarce on the boards as I'll be spending as much time trying to get her ass voted out of office next election...

I hope AVN cancels InterNext and hope most of the major convention pull out in protest...sadly it won't happen, but it's something I'd love to see.....

the no-touch is all dancers...the under 21 rule means no dancrs under 21 allowed in the clubs......

this only affectes the stripclubs that are in unincorporated clark county and not those within city limits...there are only 3 that fall in there.....actually city limits of las vegas is only like a couple blocks...

The new rules:

? Allow dancers to grind their anus, genitals and pubic area against a customer's leg, as long as they do not come in contact with the customer's feet.

? Ban the practice of customers placing bills in dancers' G-strings.

? Prohibit dancers from simulating bestiality or sadomasochistic abuse.

? Require that private dances in "VIP" areas be directly visible or visible via electronic monitoring should police officers visit the club.

And no.. cheetahs is NOT effected

I have watched how all of this goes and can assure you that there is nothing to worry about in Las Vegas. As I look into my crystal ball here is what I see happening:

August 31, 2002: Everything will run just as it always has

September 1, 2002: Everything will run just as it always has

On or about September 15, 2002: Crazy Horse Too (CHT) will be raided and 10 dancers and 3 managers will be arrested

ON THE FOLLOWING DAY: The CHT legal team will appear before a judge with a motion to put the law aside so that it can be heard before the court system.

ON THE FOLLOWING DAY: Judge will set aside the charges while the law is fought in the court system

November 2003: Yvonne Atkinson Gates will run for re-election claiming that she "Cleaned up Vegas"

Sometime in 2004: A Supreme Court judge will rule that the law infriges on our first amendment rights and will judge the law unconstitutional.

Sometime in 2006: Another councilman looking for re-election will get some other lame law passed and the process will start all over again.

I could be a little off on the dates, but this should pretty much give you an idea of how this law will progress and how Sin City will remain just that.

Relax guys, almost all of the same rules/laws were already in effect before. It was never legal to have a dancer touch the guy's crotch or grind. The already had cameras in the VIP rooms. What will happen now is the clubs will be very tame for a month or two and things will gradually go back to normal unless they choose to really enforce it this time. Most likely, you'll have to visit the vip rooms to get a contact dance.. but you should anyways you cheapskates ; ) . The no dancers under 21... I'm assuming is now for the clubs that have alcohol..and that includes Cheetahs. They shouldn't be there anyway. They can still work at the nude clubs where there's no alcohol.

The bad thing is, they can still go into the clubs and 'raid' them and charge almost any girl in there with prostitution if she's doing anything resembling a lap dance. But, they already could do that and did do that.
