'mountains of the moon' is very good and a bit off the beaten path.

      Hi Tical,

I agree - its a great movie - one of my favorites actually. I haven't seen it in a long time. Guess I should rent it again soon. It scared the shit out of me the first time I saw it.

"The Sixth Sense" is the only one I can think of. Not exactly the same... but it did have a similar theme.

"Jacob's Ladder" is a great movie. I think it was the first DVD I ever bought. Very very sad movie to watch... and scary.

I LOVE THAT MOVIE! Huge Jodorowsky fan - would also recommend "Holy Mountain" and "El Topo", but be warned that they are even trippier.

                      I still haven't seen it.

And I remember wanting to when it first came out.

                      Adding it to Netflix now.

I still haven't seen it. I keep meaning to because I remember my folks going to see it when I was a kid and saying it was weird. Which pretty much suggests I would like it.

                                Definitely Tim Robbins greatest performance
