Since when does Candidclicks accept Spaming like this ???
3rd email in 2 Days but this is the worst of them all.

We terminated this guy's account as soon as he joined. He only had about 6 click thrus at the time.

Unfortunately the way our system was designed, was even if an account was terminated it would still goto the same gateway.

We tried to contact the guy but were unable to. He left a pager number and he didn't respond to his emails. We were really hoping that he'd check his stats and realize that he could not log into his account and would spot.

That obviously did not happen.

So what I'm having our lead Candid Clicks programmer do now is code in a 404 redirect that redirects to a BLANK page stating that the account was terminated for illegal activity.

From now on, any serious offenders that send out illegal spam will be redirected to this page.

I'll keep you guys posted when this 404 redirect will be ready....should be in 10 minutes.

To make things even worse this guy isn't even sending it to CGI url....he's sending it directly to our html page

He would never even have his click thrus counted this way...almost seems like a DOS styled attack on us.

This will be much harder to 404 but we're working on it.

Also I was away from the office for extended periods of time which is why it took so long to take care of this issue, because all the compliants hit my mailbox.

Guys,

We successfully 404ed the url to a page stating that he's been terminated for illegal spamming.

The tricky part was that he's been spamming directly to the html page...not the cgi page. We now set it up so any traffic coming from him is 404ed.

Anyone hitting his page will see the following:
