Why wouldn't someone who's busted their fucking ass feel good about just giving their hard earned money made through years of sacrifice to someone with their hand out feeling they are entitled to the same standard of living "just because" or saying it's unfair. Life's not fair, and the sooner you understand this concept, the better off you'll be.

Nobody is forcing you to do anything. Your profile says you live in Michigan. So if you don't like the minimum wage law in California and it pisses you off so much then stay out of California and don't patronize any such businesses. What's the problem? The people of California can vote the people responsible out if they don't like it or maybe they do like it. Who knows. But it's not for you to unilaterally declare.
