when you try and play it in VLC it sometimes gives you an option to fix
videolan.org

Raw avi or divx/xvid?

I used a program called divfix to save a few divx files, worked great.

okay guys i use to be able to OPEN and view my videos with windows media player, BUT now heres the message ive ben getting since this morning:

windows media player cannot play the file, the player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

problem with that is, im useing one of those video cams that dont have tapes, its called a tapeless video cam, so all i have to do is just plug it in the lap top USB and my videos come off from the cam and into the laptop
