Graduates 'made to dance' at Job Interview

Dancing at an interview for a job in an electronics store, fair enough or not?

    What does GFY say?

"A university graduate says he was left humiliated after being asked to dance to a Daft Punk song during a job interview at an electronics superstore.

Alan Bacon, 21, thought working at Currys in Cardiff would be ideal given his love of cameras, and he spent a week preparing for the interview.

But instead of showcasing his skills, he ended up doing robotic-style dancing "like a scene out of The Office"."

Good way to separate pussy's, idiots, people without selfrespect and people that take orders without thinking from men. If i was the boss of that place i would hire the one who would tell me: go fuck yourself and stick that shitty job of yours in your cock loving ass!

Maybe this is an (odd) way of looking for creativity?

The best interview I ever had was Playboy.... Guy comes in, looks scary (not dangerous scary, more HIV scary) and I ask him about a three year gap in his work history. His response was "My girlfriend and I had a small dispute, I pushed her out of a moving car on the freeway, and did three years in prison. We are no longer dating so this will not be an issue".

Unfair is one way to put it. Humiliating and irrelevant is another. What I would do is hand people the stapler off my desk and tell them to sell it to me. Got some great sales people that way and rejected dozens. I didn't just spring it on them and judge, I let them know what I wanted to see and even offered tips.

Dancing? This wasn't a strip club or soul train. I'd have said no.

If this was an accounting job then perhaps it would be a bit unusual and inappropriate... but for a sales job it makes a lot of sense... I don't really see anything wrong with finding out if your potential salesman can handle a little fun or if he has a stick stuck up up his ass... obviously this guy is the latter...

The interviewer did this guy a favor. If he is this butt hurt over dancing, sales is not for him.
