I think we've sent a few DMCA's your way too. We also include Google in the notices.
Wonder if Google is taking that into consideration when they killed off your traffic.Comment

I definitely agree that link velocity is important, especially if your competitors are gaining quality links while you are losing them.
Another important factor is over optimization of anchor text. The discrepancy between total links and referring domains probably means that you have far too many site wide anchor text linking to your site. If you can, contact all of the webmasters where you have site wide anchor text and ask them to change it to the home page only, if you can get these links to be contextual as well then it's even better.
Another problem is that you don't have very many branded keywords. We've come to learn that Google loves branded keywords and naked URLs far more than keyword rich anchor texts recently. This is probably because when someone links to you, they'll most likely link to your brand and not with a carefully researched and high volume keyword anchor text. Branded keywords should be the most linked to your site, but make sure to do this in a natural way from quality and contextual sites.
I see that you've been targeted with negative seo with the keyword anchor text "child porn". I've seen this before and it really hurt the search engine traffic of a site. We were able to get back the search engine traffic with the strategies mentioned above as well as contextual forum and blog comment links from sites within the niche that are below 1 million alexa and get decent search engine traffic. This also helps with your link diversity, as many of these links are no follow. No follow links tend to be "natural" in Google's eyes. So in the bigger picture, no follow links are actually great. I forget which study I read recently but it showed the similarities between sites that have awesome search engine traffic and one of the top aspects of the amount of nofollow links, something to keep in mind.
I hope this helps you. If you need anything else you can contact my email. Best of luck.Comment

If people applied that much effort to their sites to make them good they wouldn't need "SEO". SEO isn't about gaming GOOG.I definitely agree that link velocity is important, especially if your competitors are gaining quality links while you are losing them.
