    NATS could you give us an update ?

    I haven't been posting on gfy much lately so i could give a fuck less if i get banned for "rehashing" a question that has not been answered.

    My sincere apologies to NATS if my questions have already been answered.

    Could we please get an update on the nats break-in and some straight answers.

    The following are pretty simple yes or no questions.

    As a nats affiliate was any of my data compromised in any fashion, and can you conclusively rule this out ?

    Was an employee/ ex employee responsible for the nats admin pass being used to break into sponsors using nats and can you conclusively rule this out ?

    Do you plan on suing the companies profiting from info stolen from MY signups i sent to nats programs ? Do you plan on reimbursing sponsors who use nats for the theft of signup data and will you advise sponsors to reimburse affiliates if this is the case ?

    Sorry if i am stepping on toes but i think its about time we get some straight answers , i think i speak for many affiliates who don't think its proper we should contact you on an individual basis to get answers.

    On a sidenote i think it would be proper for you to petition gfy admins to unban will76 as he was asking a question i'm sure thousand of other nats affiliates would like answered and wasn't. Having will76 banned for asking a fair question , makes it look like a cover-up

      p.s. if you dont want to answer the questions or want me banned for asking , why not instead just tell us why you don't think it needs answering..

      I stopped asking questions ONLY because minusonebit took the whole thing way to far and i didnt think at the time it was proper to continue on like it was a witch hunt.

                      Fuck, who cares? Your "data" is probably compromised everytime you buy something online. Who gives a fuck? When somebody steals some money from your bank account then you should go to the fucking bank and show them it was stolen and you get your money back. Getting spam emails? I've been getting thousands of them a day for 10 years. I bought spam arrest. Problem solved. Go back to work. Make money and stop asking foolish questions that even if they did answer...wouldn't make a bit of difference to you in any way. It's in the rearview. Move forward. That's my humble advice.

                              Robbie, considering the sizable amount of people either using NATS as an owner or affiliate, I don't think this is a simple case of "move forward". This wasn't something that just affected a few people on the fringe, this was something that struck at the core of the industry. It was swept under the rug and didn't get the treatment it deserved because of minusonebit. He is gone and the mountain has gone back down to a molehill, and it is time for some answers.

                                  Zebra, what do you mean by saying that it didn't get attention due to minusonebit. He's the one who brought attention to it. it would not have been properly discussed at all, only few webmasters would know if it wasn't for minusonebit.

                                              I think it's a shame that a program as widely used as NATS had an issue and that it's being swept under the rug. Shit happens with Scripts it's just how it is. But by not being open about it they are making themselves look a lot worse. If it's active in the courts then fine it's totally understandable that they don't want to talk about it. But if it's not then they should explain what happened as clearly as they possibly can. Is that so wrong to want to know what happened or possibly happened with your personal info?

                                                                              We saw no activity in logs of pages other than member info being accessed by the hacking. Of course, its possible, just about anything is, but no reason to believe that anyone was after that.

                                                                              Unfortunately whoever is responsible hasn't been determined. We have no reason to believe it was an employee or ex-employee tho.

                                                                              We did not have emails stolen from from us. As far as I know we would have no standing and we could not sue them. The affiliate programs who had their data stolen would need to sue them.

                                                                              Will wasn't banned for asking. In fact his question was answered a few posts later in the thread when others raised it. My answer to him wasn't nasty and was very straight forward. He then started to freak out. He was persistent and asked to stop several times. He didn't, and he was banned for that. Again, his question, "Were there any updates?" was answered.

                                                                                      Thank you, but no, the reason I don't want to do it here is this place is more and more filled with trolls by the day. I do NOT mean Will76, Smokey, etc. I mean characters like Jet, etc. They are here to just try to cause as much trouble as possible and any answer given is not going to be good enough. It becomes a waste and a headache to even try to discuss it here. So I figured I would speak one on one at length with anyone who was interested in knowing more and invited anyone, big or small, new or old in this business to contact me if they wish to. Some did and got whatever info they wanted. Some decided it was something else to scream about.

                                                                                                                      I think from an outside perspective and someone who is no more a friend of will's than yours, that you both may have taken some cheap shots , and even if you feel will took more than you , why not be the bigger man. I dont think will hates you or nats just as i dont think you hate will so why silence someone who is PROactive in this industry, you may not agree with everything he says or does but you must agree that his heart is in the right direction more than it isn't , this cant be said about alot of people.

                                                                                                                          I mentioned in another thread that I have no problem with him being unbanned.

                                                                                                                          I actually think Will is a good thing for this industry. I even still think that. However, ever since the security issue and our acquisition of Segpay (around the same time) he seems to have a hard on for us and IMO he went over board that time.

                                                                                                                          That said I have no problem at all with him being unbanned.

                                                                                                                                          Thanks Smokey. I'm sure you as well as anyone know that all softwares will have issues during their lifespan (even tho this one wasn't really an issue with the software itself).

                                                                                                                                          Also, you know I don't doubt your intent. And I have no problem answering anyone's questions about the situation, as long as they are done in the right way and for the right reasons.

                                                                                                                                                          i have said this before and i will say it again (for the last time). i find it curious that after the nats issue was fixed, i see no new threads about people getting their epass accounts hacked and money being stolen out of epass accounts. are the two tied together? i dont know. i do know epass changed their security structure and thus far it seems to have corrected the issues epass was having.

                                                                                                                                                          can you comment on this john in regards to if you think the two events were realted or just by chance...

When you make accusations like this on boards and try to discredit someone business you are setting yourself up for a defamation law suit. Keep in mind that the questions asked are not out of line, but just being brought up in the wrong environment. I bet that NATS has a phone line or two to use to answer any and all questions. NATS is a strong program that will always have issues since they are the top affiliate management solution.

                                                                                                                                                                                  Wasn't there a program owner that was using Nats that joined his own paysite site with [email protected] and then got spammed quite soon after that on that email address? That's how this whole thing got out right?

                                                                                                                                                                                  How hard is to get a Platinumbucks or Dollarmachine linkcode from one of those emails and trace the affiliate that send out the spam by his affiliate linkcode, because he must be the one that bought that Nats list from someone that is involved with the script that spidered the new member email addresses from nearly every Nats program on a daily basis (or he is the 'hacker' himself, but I doubt that).
