What saved Russia was British and American troops in Africa. WW2 was won in Africa when Hitlers resources were put under attack.

Russia was all but done until he had to move troops out of Russia to fight the US and the Brits in Africa.

That was the war right there.. The rest was just a matter of time once resources stopped flowing.
