Companies using new technology have already discovered more oil in the U.S. than we ever imagined (more than Saudi Arabia). But our govt. keeps stopping it from being fully realized.
And since it would create a boom for the economy in just about every way, AND get us out of the Middle East once and for all...none of what we are currently doing makes any sense.
So I guess it's a long term strategy to get all the oil out of the Middle East first, then the U.S. will be the big dog and the Middle East can go back to herding goats in the stone age.
That's all I can figure out as to why we keep sticking our nose in that region.
