yes, the suggestion of the paypal finder is a enclosed tube using a vacuum and transporting people at 800 mph

bullet trains use magnet suspension, not vacuum, not enclosed tubes, and fire people at 400 mph.

you'd think that this 'inventor' would simply use currently tested technology that could be added too, but i suspect the point of all this was to start discussion.

Train in a tube looks like the pneumatic tube systems they had in department stores when I was little for moving all the cash around.

This is safer than normal trains because there is nothing to hit. There is alot less friction so wear and tear will not happen as fast. Less friction means less heat.

Thats right they do. Except those used air pressure to move the cash. This one uses magnets.

..or not. Less friction means less energy requirements. Electromagnets push/pull the train instead of diesel fuel.

Here's a cool idea : If they could build this into a super-straight tunnel that would extend from LA to Montreal, the trains could "Fall" at least half of the way to its destination. The only energy it would need is the small push to get it started and maybe a little to end. Gravity would do most of the work.

_Richard_ just can't stop himself from being an arrogant, moronic and misguided turd, constantly pretending to be clever.

Richard, clever people aren't spending every waking moment trying to act clever. They just are.

It would be interesting if they could try a scaled down version used for cargo or something. See how well it works over time before launching people through it.

Its actually a genius idea. supersonic travel without the sonic boom....sort of.

not sure how practical it is though because it lacks the ability to move large enough amounts of people to make it practical and profitable it seems to me....

it's not a bullet train. a bullet train is more functional and can grow.. this is a new version of the monorail.

bullet train, btw, is mag lev.
