I highly doubt that it's fake. Either way he has brought negative attention to those in duty, I doubt he would get off even if it were fake.

If they verify it is 1 person, and verify his name he will be hunted and hounded for life.

Wouldnt wish him dead even if it was real, just handled however the Marines handle such a thing.

But if it were faked, I'd still be pissed but not for the same reason, and not to the same extent by any means. I already know that practical jokes only lead to someone being humiliated anyway. In this case, the joker(s).
