                      Not true at all. Imagine all of the amazing fruits available in Central America that are difficult to find in North America. How often do you see a starfruit in the store? It's hard enough finding a good Mexican papaya, and those are from Mexico!

                                                                      I grew up in Kailua (next to Kaneohe), and I can tell you that I never ate Hala fruit in Hawaii.

                                                                      Guava, Mango, Papaya, Pineapple, yes...Hala, hell no.
