What are your comfort foods?

I thought "comfort foods" were a chick thing. Guess I don't understand what qualifies as a comfort food.

Homemade bread pudding that I make.

IMHO bread pudding should NOT have any of the following:

1. Cinnamon
2. Raisins
3. Icing

The main flavoring agents should be nutmeg and butter and the taste should be reminiscent of French Toast.

nah its like food that you gravitate towards when you're sick or depressed or whatever. never heard it was a chick thing really.

I don't eat when I am sick and I think it was the early 90's the last time I was depressed.

chicken soup, cereal - frosted mini wheats, frosted flakes , grilled cheese sandwich

i associate comfort foods with cold or rainy weather.

my ultimate comfort food for any weather is beef jerky and Coca Cola. beef jerky can put me into a Zen zone - the chewing part of beef jerky is awesome, it's like a stress reliever.

i'm kinda sick now. i find myself craving tomato soup and grilled cheese. childhood memories. i was never sick when i was drinking. this is the pits.
