SEO/Google...new tool to see if your site is penalized

Just checked a new one I bought which isn't showing up in google:
"Pages on this site appear to use aggressive spam techniques such as automatically generated gibberish, cloaking, scraping content from other websites, and/or repeated or egregious violations of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. Learn more."

Manual Penalties are rare though compared to Penguin and Panda influences. It would be nice if they told us of those.

nice tool, and it adds up with the data i have, most of my webcam whitelabels took a huge hit on the panda update of 18/07

went from position #2/#3 on exact keywords to positions around #150 for the same keywords now

adulthelp, I don't own the tool so I can't say for sure, but my guess is that because it checks for both they just combined the names.

Did anyone see a manual action notice on any of their domains? I just checked 100s of domains on my network and not one has a message. I'd like to know if anyone got a message, just to know if the system is 'on'....

Mr Stiff, one way to look at it is that it may actually be better to have your site down with a Manual Penalty (that can be fixed) than to have your site down with no penalties.

I believe Google is showing if there is a manual penalty to stop all the unnecessary emails they are getting from people who got the shit kicked out of them by Panda/Penguin.

getting a manual penalty is rare - if you haven't done black hat, you probably are OK.

if you are buying a site/domain - do your diligence.

It's online read access only.. The access expires within the lifetime of the session..
