Actually that movie's special FX were so great because you forget that one actor was in the movie.

Really good movie. Sam Rockwell is a very underrated actor imo.

Was not a Tom Cruise fan until recently. I think he's a great actor. I like all of his sci-fi/fantasy movies.

If you liked Oblivion you should check out "Moon". Probably in my top 5 sci-fi movies of all time...

I enjoyed Oblivion. The weak point is the script. This is the directors second feature film.

The sound design was incredible, and not just the music. It was worth seeing in the theater for this reason alone.

As far as Tom Cruise goes, he's the best actor in the world so this really isn't a debatable point, but even if you don't agree, the movie is still enjoyable if you're looking for a two hour escape. I liked Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher better.

If you're a sci-fi fan, Oblivion is worth checking out. If you're not, it's a 50/50. I prefer going to the theater to watch sci-fi films. If you do too and you're only going to see one movie this summer/fall, I might hold off and see Elysium or the new Star Trek. But if you have the time, interest, and money, go see them all! Good luck!

oblivion is not really that good. + a hollywood ending.

and if you read any of the jack reacher novels, you'd see that cruise's jack reacher is not even close to the jack reacher character.

It was a beautiful movie. Could've been a lot better storywise and with a better actor than Cruise, but it was still pretty good - stunning graphics/cinematography though.
