Hell, I'd just stand back and cheer the guy on. A good rampage is cathartic - I'm surprised there aren't more in the workplace these days.
This reminds me of a job I once had where one of my co-workers thought she was a great singer. She was average at best, but clearly she thought she was fantastic. She always talked about putting out an album and trying to make it in music and she insisted on singing every day. She would go outside during lunch and sing to the people eating outside. She thought it was great because she was giving them a free concert. In reality most people hated it and after a few songs most of the people had found a reason to go somewhere else. She would also sit all day and sing at her station (this was a manufacturing plant) and it drove many of the people in her area nuts. Nobody said anything to her because she was also a bitch to anyone she didn't like and nobody wanted to get on her bad side.

One afternoon a guy had found a new job so he went to his boss and gave him his one week's notice. That boss told his boss and the company decided to fire him right then. He got in an argument with them then finally left. He was standing near the exit to the building waiting for them to bring him his stuff and decided to have one last little rampage. He picked up the phone, turned on the intercom so everyone in the plant could hear him and proceeded to tell off everyone he didn't like. The last person mentioned was the singing girl. He told her she sucked and everyone hated her singing and nobody wanted her to sing and the only reason nobody is saying anything is because they know she would make their lives hell.

When he was done he hung the phone up and everyone applauded him.

At lunch that day the singing girl said she won't sing unless people asked her to. I worked there for another six months and she never sang again during that time.
