I have the utmost respect for American soldiers and believe that on average they represent the best and brightest of our society........ but that dumb fuck is a disgrace to his uniform, his country and to common decency. He should be kneecapped.
I don't believe this idiot is representative of our fighting men and women in uniform who do their duty with honor and courage every day.

Of course not. What he did was wrong and should be dealt with, punished, etc. Like i said before, i have had dogs my whole life and they were/are a huge part of it.
However, in my opinion, when you start to equate human life with animal life in importance it gets dangerous. And from many posts in this thread, it seems people have that mentality.Comment

The point I think that you, and a handful of others seem to be missing here is it's not so much _what_ life was taken as much as the _circumstances_ by which it was taken.
It seemed to be taken out of sheer enjoyment - and not any sense of duty, strategic benefit, or practical objective.
That's the issue that I think most here have objection to. It was cold-blooded murder. Let go of the fact that it's a "puppy" for a moment.
In that regard, it's genuinely fucked up - whatever the actual "life" is. I'm sure if it was a human, there'd only be more outrage.-D.

I think the helplessness of the animal plays a role, as well as the close relationship many of us have to dogs. We view the killing of a child as more severe than an adult because of the helplessness of the crime. The same goes for a puppy.
Whatever the case may be, I can't see how anyone would defend the actions. The guy is a sick sociopath and I hope he gets a bullet put through his skull before he is allowed to procreate.Comment

We will find out this week. I have left a message for Jillian Barberie Reynolds who does the LA morning show on FOX. I know she will be outraged because she is involved in animal resucue in the local area.
If the media ignores this then only posting on blogs will root these cocksuckers out. We need names to shame them.

I love dogs, I do, my dog is baby and I would kill any man that tried to harm her, i would also assrape this fucker for killing this dog like that.
