Particularly, when you need a semi truck to tow it anywhere and the probability of having to tow it a very long distance once it breaks down is very high.

Plus, girls that know nothing of mechanics, are easy prey for scumbag hammer mechanics.

You can sleep in the bus, but it's not a good place to live if you want to maintain any kind of decent hygiene.
Also, a bus is large enough that it's not something you can just tuck away like a compact car. Every trip will eventually become a burdensome decision that will force them to think whether it's possible or not.
Nicest thing about an $1800 POS is that if it bites the dust you just pull the tags off and walk away.

Scumbag hammer mechanics are usually easy prey for cute young women.

People have been walking, riding horses, bicycling, and driving all sorts of miserable shit that shouldn't be able to go 5 miles, across this country for at least a couple of hundred years now. It is an adventure and they are at exactly the right age to embark on a trip like that.

Just my
