i watched it on the movie channel about a month ago, i love that stupid fuck movie...

i personally thought the written story sucked. it took 80's cheese to make that one a winner.

yeh the books is so much better then the movie, and only has slight resemblances really. Weird thing was I finished reading that book on 9/11, so when I read the end I was so freaked out.

I dont think it was in this case. The original story was dark and grutty, and the good guy dies at the end. This movie was filled with arnie one liners and a very poor plot.

Did you read the other short stories in that 4 story book by King: Rage, Roadwork and The Long Walk? Wow, those really freaked me out, especially the latter. Those are some of the darkest stories I've ever read.
