i did some research on the great wall of china. i had always thought it was located along its path in the far east over toward eastern europe but i found out in a wikipedia article it is actually located more to the north nearer mongolia, is that true? anyone?

Yup, I was one of the people who mentioned that. Blackmail & extortion thru internet monitoring, hacking, spying, etc, are pretty much taken as a matter of course there. Even just as a random tourist it's not out of the question, but if you're going to spend any consistent time there on business it's a matter of when, not if.
