Here is a simple test... get 20 people, line the up in a single line. Instruct the first person to tell the second person a story, then have the second person tell the 3rd, so on and so forth down the line. By the time the story reaches the 20th person, it has changed, nearly completely. Now imagine trying to retell a story that happened when you were scared shitless and had more adrenaline pumping through your system than brain power...
