    Once again... The USA will bail out the cowardly French...

    The french won't help relieve our Canadian troops in south Afghanistan (Kandahar) but instead are going to go to some area that isn't as "hot".. So Bush has ensured our prime minister that if the french won't step up, they will..

    Should also mention that the germans are even worse..

          They should pull all the fucking troops out of that shit hole. My brothers son has just come back from Afganistan after being out there for 3 months and he has to go back again in June. He bought back some footage of what is really going on out there and it aint nice. I dont blame the French for not wanting to send there troops out there

                  Yep.. Would be nice.. but, unlike Iraq, ALL of our countries supported and took part in invading Afganistan and overthrowing the Taliban... We broke it so we better fucking fix it... Screwing up a country and then running away without taking responsibility for our actions sickens me just as much as the deaths of our troops.

                              Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants

                                      I understand what you are saying. I personally dont think It will be fixed for a very long time and I dont think we have overthrown the Taliban as what you see in the press, Its more like they have supressed them in certian parts of Afganistan from the footage of what my brothers son bought home with him. I feel for every soldier that goes over there, its a complete fuck up

                                                      germany is already doing much more than they are officially allowed to. in case you don't know: after WWII it was put into the german constitution that no german soldiers are allowed to actively participate in a war that is not an attack to their own or NATO territory.

                                                      plus we have taken over most of the duties in former yugoslavia and are with a couple of thousand soldiers in northern Afghanistan

                                                      and: we didn't even start that whole shit

                                                      but basically: our constitution does not allow us to go there although we're already helping out by sending our Tornado planes

Nobody is willing to send in the proper help when office positions are at risk... it's not that I can totally blame them, but at the same time... they joined the alliance, own up.

                                                                              It's just another instance of "never again" meaning absolutely nothing.

                                                                                      American historians/propaganda writers like to portray the French as weak due to how they surrendered to a force which was much larger and more battle hardened than theirs and had quite recently destroyed other neighboring nations. As Kenny Rogers once said, "Know when to hold 'em. Know when to fold 'em. And know when to run." Knowing certain doom and not tossing your people into the fire does not make you a pussy.

                                                                                      Read up on the French Resistance if you want to learn about some courageous and vicious fucking fighters. They had to deal not only with Nazi Germany, but also the goddamned Vichy Regime, which collaborated with the Nazis. At that point, the French were best represented by the Resistance, not their new government.

                                                                                      We Americans have been extraordinarily lucky - we've never had to deal with a true military invasion. But we do like to call people names whom have had to suffer through one or two.

                                                                                                  Actually Afghanistan wasn't a US only war. That was a war that many other nations were involved in including the French.

                                                                                                  Now if it was Iraq then yea you could say that, but Afghan is a whole different story. Personally I think US troops should have stayed in full force and not went to Iraq, yet that doesn't mean Afghan is a US or GB fuck up.
