Chicago Cubs Fans say goodbye to Wrigley Field!!

Well the owner has gotten approval to sell the team, so it's a matter of time before he sells them, but he has also gotten the approval to sell the rights to Wrigley field and he is going to. Looks like he just wants to cash in before selling the team.

Some come next year, or the year after you'll be watching the Cubs play at the friendly confines of Discover Card Stadium, or Sprint Field.

    heartbreaking

I'm still holding out hope that Mark Cuban will be able to buy the team; would be the best possible scenario for a team that hasn't won the World Series in 100 years or even been there for 63.

I find it so sad that all stadiums are named after big companies now. It makes me sick.

I am NOT a sports fan by any stretch of the imagination, but LOVED going to Wrigley Field. It was bad enough when they put lights in, now this

Zell is a greedy fucking bastard. The sell of the team should have already fucking happened. Hopefully a Chicago native will buy the rights, but keep it named Wrigley Field.

without a question. Bleachers are the only way to go. Watch out for that sun during the summer though. Night games in the bleachers against a team like the Cardinals are awesome!

Let me know when you are going Baddog, I have tickets for about 12-15 Cubs games and they are pretty much all bleachers.

Wrigley is already named after a big company. Why rename it?

I will have to talk to goodgirl. I am planning on going out there for her birthday in early April. Will have to check if they have any home games scheduled for the few days I am there.

A couple of times when visiting Chicago I've watched the Cub's during the day and the Sox the same night.

I did an Oakland A's double-header once. I was trashed by the end of that night. Never again.
