best shows to attend?
If you were to attend only 3 shows all year which shows would they be? Shows for getting business done... not for the parties.

I like the Phx Forum, The Barefoot Retreat, Island Gathering and Internext
The Phoenix Forum has been my favorite show since it started and CCBill has done an amazing job with it!
The Barefoot Retreat is about to kick off its first show and I am happy to be hosting it! This is a luxury show designed for owners and decision makers similar to Island Gathering. It is completely all inclusive for one price except your flight to Jamaica.
Island Gathering is a great show designed for owners and decision makers and is a very limited space show I have been many times. I only wish it had room for more people to attend.
Internext is an awesome show very large lots of people to meet. this year they did a great job with the new venue and setup.Comment

i dunno, everything i have ever seen tanker do is awesome-

With all due respect, what is presumptuous about that statement? Let's look at it again:
"The Barefoot Retreat is about to kick off its first show and I am happy to be hosting it!" This is a 100% fact. On April 15, 2008 The Barefoot Retreat will kick off it's first show in Negril, Jamaica. And if you look at the website Made In Porn is one of the hosts so I am sure he isn't lying about his mood when he says he is happy to be hosting....So no mystery or presupposition in that part of the statement.
"This is a luxury show designed for owners and decision makers similar to Island Gathering." Since Tanker was a large part of the process in putting this show together it is safe to say that he can make a clear statement, that appears to be written in the present tense, about what direction we meant for this show to take. So really no conjecture in that part of the statement either.
"It is completely all inclusive for one price except your flight to Jamaica."Again this is 100% true. You will have to pay for your flight separately but your show admission includes everything from your transportation to the hotel, your luxury room with jacuzzi tub, everything you eat at the hotel, even 24/7 room service to every last drop of alcohol you have from the bars and so much more. So definitely no presumption here either.
And since he knows whos on the guest list and has been attending shows in this industry for about a decade, I would say that there is no presumption in the fact that this show will be a great one to attend for getting some business done and making some solid contacts.

Ya, we're obviously biased but.... Cybernet Expo is designed to be more about business than bling. We keep costs down, so it costs people less to attend and sponsor. Better ROI than expensive shows. And we make sure the show is organized so that people will come into contact with each other non-stop. You'd have to put in some serious effort to NOT get business done at this show. And... we'll make sure everyone has a pretty fuckin' good time too. ;)Comment

Usually the Phoenix show has been early April and I've told myself out of it, because I spend a week in Peoria mid-March for baseball. I'm missing my annual spring training trip because of this baby. She's due April 1st, but the way things are going it'll be anytime between March 15th and the due date.

Hmmm, being that I'm an NL fan, the only thing I think of when I think of Seattle is that they're the SOB's who took A-Rod right before us and we got stuck with Darren Dreifort! LOL
I've always wanted to do a trip to ST... I should have done that back in the late 90's when this business required less work! Haha... doubt I'll find the time anytime soon, at least not for more than a day or two. But since the Dodgers are moving to Arizona next year, maybe I can claim I have business with CCBill and justify a trip that way....Comment

You could have had A-Rod for all I care. I hate the guy. He's a total a-hole when it comes to personality. Spring training for him is likely a joke. To me ST is about the kids. A-Rod was/is too much of a snob to make it kewl for the kids. There are plenty of other players who really have a blast with the fans during ST.Comment
