Shadowmoon Valley only sells the reg and epic flying mounts/training. If he is looking for a mount at 60, then he can only use a reg/epic riding mount.

Also Shadowmoon valley is way too high for someone just about to hit 60.

at level 60 you can buy/train for an epic mount if you got the gold, but it i think it costs something close to like 900gold. at 70 you can get a flying mount for the outlands. yes I am a nerd and this scares me a lot.
