Not enough people know how to catch hitbots, especially in an age where
there are massive botnets out there on real computers using real browsers to
hit pages. For some it's impossible to detect even.

I'd suggest that more then 80% TGP traffic now is hitbots.

As for ratios dropping, I don't see it. Well I see it but I can also account for
90% of it, the other 10% is factors external to a single sponsor. As products
become saturated their ratio drops, as everyone who will signup has. Release
a new product and it's ratio starts off at the top again. Studios and sponsors
just need to make sure they have a steady stream of new paysites/brands.

Global signup ratios do drop overtime also, but at nowhere near the same
rate that ratios drop for single products.

Nope..... With the right trojan on a few thousand ghost machines you could
pop browsers and navigate them as if the code was human. If done right the
browser will respond as normal, and the fake user will click things like normal
without hitting any honeypots. This is why I say 80%. You may detect 65%
or whatever in broker traffic but there is a hell of a lot more out there then
that.

TGP is dead. It's all fake.

Let me just qualify that by not including in that % the bookmarkers of the 10-
20 major TGPs. These are hubs, their traffic is real. New TGPs looking for
trades are going to find a web of fake traffic, much of which can't be
detected.

I can understand why you think that your google comparison applies here, but I think if you give it a bit more thought you will understand why it doesn't.

Nevertheless,

Still no real numbers and no real answers. I'm not the IRS. I just want to know if this conversation is worth my time.

But when it comes to buying "shit" traffic (full of hitbots or foreigners who can't buy anything anyway) or selling off my "good" traffic that I have no problem converting, I am betting that the whole thing is a waste of time.

I have the sneaking suspicion that I'm here trying to talk dollars with someone who is used to dealing with nickels and dimes.

But... I'm here to make money. So if anyone can add something to this thread that can contribute to that, I'm all ears.

I think you said it already: If you have solid traffic, why sell it?
Here's my thoughts (and they're just thoughts) in regard to the whole traffic business.

- If you have a shitload of traffic - monetize it.

- If you're smart enough to be able to filter traffic
1. You know and can filter traffic, otherwise one shouldn't run such a service.
2. If someone knows how to filter traffic, they must also know why and how they are filtering it. Which must mean they could convert it - since they're selling it, perhaps not.
3. Buyer beware

*shrug*
Your post count means nothing.

The fact that someone wants to "sell" traffic at all, makes me think it is traffic that can't be worth a damn.

I have never understood the whole concept of buying traffic (that could only be shit traffic), or the motivation to sell "valuable" traffic.

Someone please explain......

Nice analogy... but don't even have to go this far.. the fact of the matter is, noone has or can ever have enuff traffic, so anyone selling it... obviously is crooked,, and i don't care if its exits or aynthing, traffic is worth HUGE money
and paying $2.00 for it becaues it was washed filtered or anything is BS

Somone would be willing to pay $15 for the worst traffic, if it was "REAL" traffic

The people dont care because they think theyre TGP is growing, lol
its just a growing botnet of phoney traffic being resold and resold to each othere its fucking halirious and that traffic broker is laughing all the way to the beachhouse
