                                                                      in fact in a couple months i am setting up a canned food drive with one of the local car clubs that i race with. all the donations are going to benifit a local food bank. i am pretty damn excited about it, i think it will bring in alot of good donations.

                                                                      i am also helping to promote another race event to benifit those afflicted with Huntington's Disease. one of my friends is putting is together, and i am going to do my damndest to make sure that registration is maxed out that day so the club can make a good sized monetary donation to the fund.

                                                                                          I do a bit for size acceptance, but the whole size acceptance crowd pisses me off in general. Most of them spend their time just knocking skinny chicks or insisting they are prettier than skinny chicks... and that's just silly. Someone knocks you by your appearance, so you knock them right back and lower yourself to that standard? (sorry, got a soapbox there for a minute) But what I do for that cause is usually on my own or with a small group.

It's the part of the BBW (Big Beatiful Woman) crowd that pushes for people to make clothes in bigger sizes and is supposed to (theoretically) push for realistic beauty ideas. Instead, most of them just sit and bash skinny chicks or complain about how fat they are while they eat ice cream.

                                                                                                          I tend to take the stance that everyone has their own beauty rather than spreading hate over the issue, and realize that some people are attracted to big people and some are attracted to small people. Neither is wrong. I put my focus on self-esteem (real self esteem not gained by putting someone down) and eating disorders. (both overeating and things like anorexia)

                                                                                                                                                              Animal rescue for me, my house is a zoo. All of them strays I found walking the endless dirt roads of the deserts of west texas, or were given to me by people who no longer wanted to take care of them. Right now I have 10 dogs, 16 cats and a horse.

                                                                                                                                                              I'm also in the process if starting up an actual no kill shelter (other then in my living room).

                                                                                                                                                                      I used to be fairly heavily (no pun intended) in the size acceptance stuff too but I also got pissed off by the people that used it as an excuse to bash the opposite of whatever they are. To me, it was just as important to reach the anorexic little girls as it was the big ones and help them not hate their bodies.

                                                                                                                                                                              I get fed up easily too. You get too much attitude from people who laugh at you and run into a lot of hopeless causes, or your shit gets hijacked by people who are fighting the cause the wrong way. I might not be out with picket signs everyday, but I've found that it's the little chances to help that matter. Volunteering at peer council stuff, teen hotlines, ect growing up showed me that helping one person makes up for a half ton of attitude on the other side of things.
