Lower your resolution. My 21 inch native rez is 1680X1050. Way too fucking small. So I have it at 1280X800.
I'm not sure why monitor makers make the natives so huge when 99% of websites are made for 1024X768 or smaller. In fact 95% are still being made for 800X600.

You can't use a lower res then native on a LCD or it looks like shit. I bought a 24 inch with high hopes but only use it for gaming. Websites are about the size of playing card down the middle. What a waste.

do you have a lcd? whenever i run anything res smaller than native the text looks like crap, it's a 24" samsung
this would be perfect on a 30" monitor.
I was using dual 19's, at 1280 x 1064
going from the above to this 24" at 1920 x 1200, stuff gets smaller.
I was hoping I would gain a little realestate PLUS a little larger text than what i was used too.
No my eyesight is fine. I don't like hvang to strain to see shit because it's so small. I know of no eye problem that makes things look bigger or smaller.

I use 1280X800 on a monitor with a native of 1680X1050 and things look just fine.

Well, i'm running the same res as you and i can read gfy from a meter away without problems...

i can see this fine if i get close enough, problem is when you get close enough you are moving your head and body all around because the screen is so big.
This is great for photoshop and having plenty of workspace though.
That's one reason I'm still on CRT, the native size of the pixels on LCDs is way too small. Changing to a non native resolution looks crap because it's doing things like spreading 1.8782 pixels over the physical space of 2.

I didn't say I could see anything. I say I prefer things larger. I prefer not to strain my eyes. That doesn't mean I can't see shit.
I'm not sure how you enjoy things. For example clips from sites like youtube or Kontraband would look like a postage stamp. Boy that seems fun. I play on Pogo. Those games are made for 800X600 monitors. Even at 1280X800 it's not exactly idea conditions, so I can only imagine how UN-fun it would be to play those games on 1680X1050. Wait I just tired and it sucks. I'm sorry most sites take up less than half the screen at 1680X1050 and leaves lots of empty space. Until websites catch-up with monitors I'm not using native resolutions. I might could deal with 1440X900 but for some reason it won't display at full screen.
Check with your manual because there may be a low resolution that your monitor works with. The Samsung I have has a native resolution of 1400x1050 but was also renders text perfectly at 1024x768.
I'm assuming that this is done to support lower resolutions for games since 1024x768 on my monitor is crazy but you never know ya might get lucky
