I just "ordered" it on for kindle. I don't do a lot of jucing but this might remind me to give it a try more.

I don't need to loose weight, but it's always good to get more nutrients in your diet.

    thanks baddog

Good luck, and for those that think eating veggies is better than juicing them:

      http://cancer.stanford.edu/patient_c...ngRecipes.html

1 cup of carrot or celery juice provides most of the same nutrients found in 5 cups of those same vegetables chopped up.

You're inspiring me Lloyd. I may just go out and buy myself a juicer this summer. I have always had quite a healthy diet, which is why in spite of working from home all these years and suffering back problems besides, I am no 300+ lbs. And in fact I've lost 17 lbs over the past several months simply by breaking up my meals and actually eating MORE throughout the day. Adding some juicing to the mix has been sounding good to me for a long time, might be time to make a move.

Any suggestions? (on which types of machines are worth the effort?)

Yeah, actually I have written a few articles about it which can be found the on FacesOfJuicing.com blog, but in a nutshell:

            1. You need to decide if you are going to juice or blend. I recommend juicing because it is more efficient in getting the nutrients to your body (no need to break down the blend).

            2. When it comes to juicers you want something that is easy to use, easy to clean and gets the most juice possible (dry pulp)

            3. When it comes to getting the most juice from your produce I have discovered that the stronger your motor, the dryer the pulp and it enables you to juice things like parsley and lettuce with ease. We have the 1200w, 5-speed Breville Dual Disk Juice Extractor. Yes, it costs more but you will save money in the long run because you get more product from your produce. Besides, I know there was little chance that I was going to pay $500 for something and have it just sit on my counter.

            4. I have used a lesser powered 800w Breville juicer and broke it because I was using it like a 1200w juicer, it was not capable of handling an uncut apple. I would never use less that 1000w. I read of lots of stories of people breaking their juicers shortly after purchase, so spend the money and buy just one in stead of 2, 3 or 4 before you give up.

Actually I just tried it myself to see what the experience was like and I did not have to install any software to read it on my PC; just download to their cloud server and read it right then and there.

The only downside to it as that the photos don't seem to click to full size like they do on the Kindle

Thanks. I do have a couple of decent blenders already, but will take all that into consideration for looking at juicers.

It used to be a bad thing if someone called you a juicer. Times are sure changing. :D

If you decide to check it out, we have a juicing group on Facebook which includes several people that blend; so they have lots of recipes and suggestions we could never give. They are a lot different.
