Me too. It's a false equivalency.

My ancestors weren't dragged from their homeland onto slave ships, transported thousands of miles and forced into servitude for two hundred years, then treated like shit after they were freed.

Does anyone ever think about that when they try to make that comparison? Any so called racist thing a black person says directly to me could have no impact on me, because the insult is not loaded with that history I just described.

I get mad sometimes about the fucked up shit black people do, but I'm also well aware that the American black (good or bad side) we have today is a product of that history. How is any white person supposed to be offended by the word "cracker"?

nope, my ancestors were starved off their land and forced into 'indentured servitude' and then into 'sharecroppers' until the civil war set then free

well then maybe you should realize the truth about slavery...? believe it or not slavery wasn't invented by white Americans to 'keep a brother down' here enlighten yourself....

WHITE SLAVERY wasn't outlawed until 1885, I fact the word slave is a derivative of Slavs, a white race in Eastern Europe

Exactly... Africans weren't the first slaves in the world, and they certainly weren't the last. The first 25 seconds of the video you linked hit it spot on though... "mention slavery and the image that immediately arises is that of Africans and their descendents"...
