                      For Windows, I use Express Thumbnail Creator. It is sweet!

                      http://www.express-soft.com/etc/

                      It will take all of your photos, create thumbnails, and even the html pages to go with them. Will save you hours and is very affordable. You'll have to FTP the files to your own server, but it does a pretty good job. Download the trial.

                      If you are looking for a Perl program, try:

                      If you can use PHP/mySQL, use:

                      For TGP Galleries, I recommend:

                                  I use the "Arles Image Web Page Creator" from http://www.digitaldutch.com

                                  No FTP function, but it's easy to use, you can use templates, it can resize you pics and has some cool effects for thumbs (3D and button effects). You won't make killer galleries with this one, but it's fast and easy.
