I wonder why they would cross over into bikes..motorcycles I would understand but bikes are an interesting choice.

Decent bikes these days go for $2k to $5k some of the higher end ones for around $10k. maybe they see a mass market there?

It's beautiful, but I don't get it. I know some people use bikes for transportation, but most people use it for exercise. With an electric motor... That's not exercise at all.

Motorcycles are for a limited market. Not everyone can ride a motorcycle - My wife, for example. There there is the license, the guear... But nearly everyone can ride a bike.

Motorcycles are for a limited market. Not everyone can ride a motorcycle - My wife, for example. There there is the license, the guear... But nearly everyone can ride a bike.

Yeah but the bike market is super competitive already....I guess an electric bike is newer but as somebody that rides a bike, and most people who do they wouldnt see this bike as an option...and for the ones that do they are most likely people who cant afford a motorcycle or car and would opt for a cheaper scooter...

But don?t expect it to come cheap?the words carbon fiber and German made do not equal cheap. Just the brakes on this bike (Brakeforce Ones) are German and carbon fiber and cost $800. industry analysts predict the bike will cost in the neighborhood of $20,000.

To give you an idea the Blacktrail bike which uses an identical carbon wheel set, sells a replacement set of wheels and rims for a staggering $5000.

Interesting. I know Specialized came out with an electric assist bicycle for I think $4k. I wonder what accounts for the $16k jump other than the name Audi.

for me it would be perfect. I love riding bicycles, but with my leg disability it makes it hard to pedal a lot so having something that would help me out would be perfect.
