Stumbled on a couple of songs in my collection and had to get the whole discography. Granted, this guy is way before my time but damn that's some fantastic music. So raw, unrefined yet bluesy and smooth.

I used to enjoy his music. Not so much anymore.
Saw him and his band at the Montreal Jazz Festival last summer and was underwhelmed.
Favourite is his very first record. -
I saw him at the ottawa bluesfest last summer and thought he was pretty good. Didn't play for very long though but no one did at bluesfest. Though almost none of this songs are orignals. Except for Get a Haircut, I Drink Alone and a few others its all old blues songs re-done.you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

i saw him with Steve Miller not too long ago. amazing show.
he opened, Miller came out and did a few songs, then they both just fucking rocked out together for about two hours, then Miller finished his set.
easily one of the best shows i have ever seen. while thorogood may not be the most technically proficient player (technically proficient is boring anyways) he pours his heart into his instrument.Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war.Comment

George Thorogood and the Destroyers are b-b-bad to the b-b-b-one!
Best show of them that I saw was at a small club in Palo Alto, but they held their own opening for the Rolling Stones at Candlestick Park in San Francisco too (the J. Geils Band was also on that bill).
Bad To The Bone
...and one of the best drinking songs ever...
One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer
There must be a better version out there somewhere...anyone?
