If there turns out to be any truth to it the real trouble it will cause him is with the religious right. They run the republican party (or at least they control much of the power of it) and they already don't like McCain. If this turns out to be true it will further drive them away from him. Without them (and it is already very likely he won't have much support from him) he will probably lose the election and could lose badly.Comment
