Infecting peoples machines with more shit, total control if desired, sell "traffic" to victims / sell "clicks" to unscrupulous webmasters (AdSense or other PPC), ... ... ...

From what I heard and read, here and there... there's a pretty strong underground/shady economy going on online. Lot's of shit happening.

I could see kids playing with a botnet for DOS attacks etc.. but the age group involved with this would have been about making bucket loads of money... I guess they could have set it up for "all of the above", but I would think the majority of it would have been for spam... yes? no?

Didnt check story but did they recover the cash or will it be sitting somewhere collecting interest and such waiting for them to get out. Unless of course the one on the run has access to it. Im guessing with that much loot exile in some non extradition country wouldnt be bad.
