I know back in the days I was drunk often and annoying or a real asshole.

I'm sorry for that. I was pretty stupid, at times. Maybe most times.

This ain't meant for people who just make fun of how poor I am, make shit up about me, etc. You should find a new pass time. I have never been on welfare, I don't steal, I don't drive around drunk all the time or condone doing so, I never lived off of that woman you say I did, or any of that nonsense.

This also ain't meant for sleazydream. It's very rare that someone on the internet gets under my skin or manages to annoy me, but I extremely don't like you. Sorry about that.

But anyway-- I really am sorry for some of the idiocy I've been a part of, especially when loaded.

Its amusing that you admit to being stupid while drunk or high. Alcohol and drugs don't make people stupid. It simply lowers inhibitions and lets ones true personality shine through.

I am not suggesting that. I am saying alcohol does not make an asshole an asshole. Alcohol reveals the assholes thats already there as it is lowering inhibitions and diminishing ones ability to continue to conceal who and what they truly are.

You are comparing addiction to just drinking. They are not the same. The average person is not wildly different sober than they are while drunk. Most people are more or less the same. But not "totally happy go lucky and fun, friendly, great person sober and then a total asshole drunk" unless they are an asshole to begin with. A person who turns violent while drinking for example, is typically someone who controls those same impulses while sober. The alcohol, in and of itself doesn't not "cause" that person to become violent. It causes that persons judgement, inhibitions, use of restraint, impulse control, common sense, self control etc etc etc to diminish allowing those behaviors to come out.
