"Anime" is a japanese abbreviation of "Animation"
Perverted Animation is called Hentai Anime, or Hentai for short.
"Perverted Anime" = = = porn cartoons from Japan.

Aftershock's post impelled me to wiki, where i found his post and this:
"In Japanese the word hentai is a kanji compound of 変 (hen meaning "change" "weird" or "strange") and 態 (tai meaning "attitude" or "appearance"). The term is used as a shortened form of the phrase 変態性欲 (hentai seiyoku), or "sexual perversion." In slang, 変態 (hentai) is used as an insult meaning roughly "pervert" or "weirdo".
"wierd attitude" is probably the best scholastic translation of the word. hentai seiyoku, would be "wierd attitude towards sex"
but still, i like fucking around - if it weren't for the kanji, "tai" could be "dai" and it would be "big wierdo"
when in doubt, however... say "dai hentai" - means you are REALLY off the charts.

No really - a lot of you are missing the point and thinking you're getting it. Anime is not a "niche" because it's not PORN at all.
Turn on Cartoon Network or Fuse or watch Pokemon or whatever mainstream America is serializing these days... that's ANIME.
HENTAI is when anime is not for Kids, when it is adult... PORN.
My favorite Hentai is Dragon Pink - it's hysterical. I also like Spaceship Agga Router, and Magic Woman. LA Blue is OK too. It does get old after a bit, but so does everything.
