    Automating Watermarking of Pics??

Does anyone know how to automate the watermarking of pics without having to open them up 1 by 1 and do it by hand?

If images are different sizes, and i always want my sites logo in the bottom right corner, is there a script i can use that does this?

If the images are different sizes i am hoping for a script that knows how to find the bottom right hand corner of an image, then once it finds it it would know to place the watermark in a certain place, then resave the JPEG.

    Anyone?

Are you looking for a script to do loads of images at one, or a script that will do it one by one as you upload.

I have a script where you can upload large images and it will watermakr them and make a thumbnail.

Let me know I might be able to help you.

You have two main options having a script on your server resize and watermark your images (what XD2 mentioned). Or you can automate the process in photoshop. If you have photoshop cs or later, it's really easy using photoshop and bridge together.

      In photoshop, open 1 image.
      bring up the Actions window
click the icon for a new action, and name it whatever you want.
Now smoothly go through the whole process of adding your watermark.
At this point photoshop is recording everything you click on and type, so don't mess up. It needs to be done without any errors.
Once you are done, click the stop button on the Actions window.
      And close the photo.

Now, open Adobe Bridge (it comes with Photoshop cs or later, you can find it under Programs on a PC, or in the same folder with your adobe apps on a Mac)
Browse to the folder with your photos to watermark
      Click Tools
      Photoshop
      Image processor
      Un-check open first image.....
select save in same location (this makes a new folder called JPEG in the same folder with the images, it doesn't overwrite your images. Make a backup of your images though until your are comfortable with this process)
Check Jpeg, I use a quality of 8, resize the images if you need to with "Resize to fit"
Uncheck the other file types (unless you want them)
check Run Action, find your action that you created in photoshop.
      Click Run

Kick back and wait until photoshop has processed all of your photos for you.

I have done batches of 1000's of photos this way.

      Hope that helps.

I think there is a free software called GIMP (open source) which has almost the same image processing capabilities as Photoshop. You might try that as well.

Photoshop action is the best, unless you have a CMS that can do it for you.

Most adult site CMS programs have this feature built in.

              Spend you some brain.
