                  been going on for 2 weeks. dude is some weird islamist who's outlawing drinking, arresting kids for kissing in public, and now taking out points of history. so yea, it's a park, but one that has been around for 100s of years, and one of the few that are left.

                  yesterday it was 'no more patience', and considering the amount of people who have died, this is disturbing

                              I was once in Antalya in Tukey and there is this singer Tarkan he is like a pop idol kind of person, anyway Tarkan cancelled a concert in Antalya a few years back due to health issues and I swear to god a riot almost broke out! It was unreal, the amount of supporters this guy has. I have never seen such fanaticism (in a good way, at least turks don't blow shit up) about something.

                              Istambul got almost burnt to the ground over a chariot race a few thousand years back :D turks are very fanatic about their sports and singers maybe parks are a big deal to them as well?

                                  Yea, That is what it looks like. Protestors are secularists who do not approve of the strict Islamic laws. New laws on alcohol too.

                                  Media isn't talking about reasons. I am hoping the media is trying to stay out of stuff they know nothing about, Since they get involved in alot of other stuff. But at least they could talk about why people are rioting.

                                  I heard one protestor claim too many pop-ups on their porn sites.
