              You can start promoting your site by posting in the link trade request in this forum or you can also join http://www.thunder-ball.net/ and get link trades on there. You could also sign up for a free google webmasters account and and submit your site to them then get yourself a sitemap done here http://www.sitemapdoc.com/Default.aspx this will help google index your site. If you want to spend money on buying traffic then there are always people on GFY who will help you out with that.. Also just hang around the board and you will be suprised at the amount of information that you can pick up

I signed up with various webmaster boards and just continued to gain knowledge as time went on. There's alot of helpfull information on the board. The best way to promote your site is to have good search engine placement, good SEO on your site, marketing your site through link exchanges, advertising campaigns...etc. You want to build up your affiliate program too by promoting that to as many webmasters as possible. There are many other things that you can do to build up your site too and over time, you will learn more and more.
