Local network news has already dropped the story. Faster than most stories. It's only been a few days and most people have moved on. At least the gun control issue was passed around for about 3 weeks.
The power of ignorance and denial is overwhelming.
I guess as long as Americans have a massive amount of entertainment to pacify themselves with, tv sets in the house and in their hands constantly, nothing else seems important or matters.
